Think About Needs

When it comes to buying your first car, think about what you need in a vehicle. Also, do some searching for what is most important to you for your car to have. Whether it's a certain feature, good gas mileage, or a specific color, it's important to know what you want and need in a ride.

Establish a Budget

Your budget is a major factor in buying a car. Establish how much you can afford to put toward a vehicle each month. In addition, you may need to consult the finance department to see what amount you are approved for. The price point can now help lead your search as you find the right car.

Narrow Down Your Search

Now that you know the features you want and your price point, you can start narrowing down vehicle options near you. Visit our website to see our current new and used selection online, if you want to see what's available before you visit us in person.

Schedule a Test Drive

Before you purchase, it's important to test drive the vehicle. This can give you a good idea of the fit and feel of the new ride. Get familiar with the vehicle before you make the investment to purchase.

Finalize Financing

After you decide which car to purchase, you will need to get your financing in order. This process can be a bit challenging, but our finance options can help. No matter what your credit situation, we have financing options available for you.

The ULTIMATE Gift Guide for Father's Day

Does your Dad love cars? Whether your Dad drives a car, truck, or SUV, we have some great gift ideas for Father's Day. As your mid-Missouri car dealership, we know all the tips and tricks for keeping Dad's car clean and accessorized to boot. Take a look below to find some fun gift ideas, courtesy of Spieler's Incorporated!

Car Care Kit

A car enthusiast typically enjoys keeping their prized possession in tip-top shape. A car wash or care kit is a practical gift for the car lover on your list. They can wash, wax, and shine up their ride with your present this year!

Vehicle Organizer

Organization can be key for a busy parent or someone who spends a large portion of time in their vehicle. An over the seat organizer can help keep knick-knacks and other items stored safely. For those vehicle owners with a trunk, give the gift of order with a trunk organizer to keep their items together and to help eliminate them rolling around back there.

Floor Mats

To help protect the flooring in your loved one’s vehicle, get new floor mats for the summer. For rainy days to mud, a tray style floor mat can help keep dirt and grime off the carpeted floor.

Remote Start

If you have a friend or family member who parks outside, a remote start can be added to their vehicle for a convenient gift they will be thankful for over and over! A remote start can start the ride, allowing it to cool down in the summer or warm up in the winter, before entering the car.

Hands-Free Device

Show you care by giving a phone holder, for hands-free talking. There are a number of styles to this gift, in which you can find the perfect one for your recipient who is always on the go. It's a great way to show you care about safety and convenience while Dad drives!

GPS

For the person who is always getting lost, save on that phone data and give a GPS this holiday season. With a number of model options, you can choose from a wide range of prices and features for your gift.

Car Memorabilia

No matter what the car lover in your life is passionate about, there are a number of memorabilia options to give. From car tee shirts to wall hangings, you can find something they will love.

Gap Filler

Have you experienced the frustration of dropping something between the car seats? A gap filler does just that, it fills the space between two seats or a seat and the console to help eliminate that panic moment when something slips between the crack.

Vehicle Cover

Another gift idea that is perfect for the person who parks their vehicle outside! Give the gift of a car cover to help protect the investment they care so much about.

Truck Accessories

From nerf bar steps to a truck bed cover, there are a number of options to give the truck owner in your life. Whether it is practical or simply a visually appealing feature, the truck driver you know will be pleased to accessorize their vehicle for Father's Day.

We want to help you give your Dad a gift he will truly enjoy AND use! Tips to Improve Your Fuel Efficency

Gas prices are on the rise. Whether it is for the summer traveling season or long term, you can save on gas by making each tank last a little longer. Who doesn't love saving money? As your family-owned car dealership in California, MO, we know the impact fuel mileage has on our customers. Here at Spieler's Inc., we want to help you make the most of each tank. Take a look below to learn a few ways you can improve the MPG your vehicle consumes!

1. Think About Wind Resistance

While it may not be practical at all times, try to avoid traveling a long distance with an item that causes wind resistance. Any items on your luggage racks or large items in the bed of a truck can put a drag on your vehicle, causing it to consume more fuel. Having your windows open while driving down the road can also put a damper on your vehicles' aerodynamics - causing more drag.

2. Keep Your Speed in Check

Speeding causes an overuse of gasoline, as your vehicle has to use more fuel to get up to speed. Try to keep your speed at the recommended MPH for the road in which you are traveling on. This can help lower the chance of using unnecessary gasoline to get to and from your destination.

3. Coast When Possible

Gravity is on your side when you're driving down a hill. You can let off the gas and coast down many hills. This can help counteract the fuel consumption that is required to get UP the hill. Don't use unnecessary gas to accelerate down a hill, when you will get down it either way.

4. Set Cruise Control

Using cruise control can help keep your acceleration at bay when traveling at a constant speed. This also helps when saving on the amount of fuel your vehicle uses as you drive down the highway. If you don't have a vehicle with cruise control, try to keep an even speed when traveling to avoid speeding up and using extra gasoline

5. Take It Easy on the Pedal

Heavy braking and accelerating at a quick pace can put a damper on your fuel efficiency. Try to shift smooth and drive with caution, when traveling in your vehicle. Avoid slamming the breaks and smashing the gas pedal to keep your fuel usage in check. This is an easy way to increase your fuel efficiency.

6. Tightly Secure the Gas Cap

About 147 million gallons of gas were lost last year due to evaporation. That's A LOT! Ensure your gas tank cap is on tight and secured properly. This can help keep the gasoline you purchased exactly where you want it - inside your gas tank. If you have a faulty cap, try to get that repaired as soon as possible.

7. Think Ahead for Travel Plans

It's best to take one trip instead of several to run your errands. Think ahead of all the places you need to go before you leave home. Start at the location furthest away and work your way back toward your home. This can help to reduce the waste of unnecessary gas driving all over town. While it does not always work out to plan ahead and take one trip, it's best to minimize the number of trips to and from your home throughout the day.

If the gas prices are getting you down and you've used these tips to improve your MPG, it may be time to consider a more economical ride. Stop by our car dealership in mid-MO TODAY to see our current selection of fuel-economic vehicles. We have a wide range of new and used rides AND eco-friendly options too! The sales staff at Spieler's Incorporated looks forward to helping you find the right ride for you and your family!
