Don’t Let Winter Weather Keep You off the Roadway

Winter is upon us and with the change of season comes the chance of encountering winter weather on the roadways. - Never stop while going up a hill if you don’t have to. Trying to restart once you have stopped on an icy hill is extremely difficult and dangerous.

- Stay calm if you start to skid – overcorrecting can cause more problems
Helpful hint: if the backend of your car starts to slide during a turn, slowly let off the accelerator and turn the steering wheel in the direction of the slide. This will help straighten out your car.
