Fun Facts About Independence Day

With the holiday weekend upon us, this is a great time to celebrate our country for the 4th of July! 1) The Declaration of Independence was drafted by Thomas Jefferson on a small writing desk that fits on a lap.

2) The Star Spangled Banner was made the official national anthem in 1931.

3) John Adams and Thomas Jefferson both passed away on July 4th of 1826.

4) Only John Hancock and Charles Thompson actually signed the Decoration of Independence on the 4th of July, back in 1776.
